Each class is 90 minutes of classical hatha yoga focusing on mindful breathing, postures, deep guided relaxation, and more.
We offer two levels:
No matter which class you choose, you will leave feeling reset, energized and balanced!
Sometimes all you need is a private class. Getting personal instruction is a perfect way to address your individual needs at your own pace. It's also a good way to sharpen a growing home practice.
Private classes are great for beginners, or anyone who wants detailed, specialized help in developing their practice. You are welcome to bring a guest, but the focus of the session will be on one client.
Reiki (pronounced RAY-kee) is a Japanese energy healing treatment that works on restoring physical, mental, and spiritual well being by laying-on hands.
For those who prefer, Reiki can easily be transferred by a light touch, or by hovering hands over the intended area instead. It is a naturopathic and non-invasive treatment given by two Reiki practitioners at once.

Seifukujutsu (pronounced SEE-foo-koo-joot-su) is a manual therapy rooted in Japanese, Chinese, and Hawaiian massage techniques.

Kupale is a Hawaiian word meaning "to protect". Join this experiential workshop to learn how to defend yourself against an attack from a larger, stronger person.
This is a complete course. You will learn escapes and counterattacks improvised weapons, strategic safety, and awareness for a variety of situations. These are effective yet easy to learn techniques that are essential for women of any age. Empower and protect yourself.
This course is 4 hours long, conducted on the last Saturday afternoon of each month.

The San Francisco Jujutsu Kodenkai (SFJK) has Dan Zan Ryu classes here at Excelsior Yoga's studio.
DZR is a style of Japanese Jujutsu that also incorporates Hawaiian Lua, Filipino Escrima, and Chinese Kung Fu.
Schedule: Tuesdays & Thursdays, 6:30pm - 8:00pm.
